The Information Security Department was founded in collaboration with Neusoft Group and Information Security Evaluation Center of Liaoning Province in response to national needs. The department has populated with more than 15 full time teachers. It is engaged in network technology and information security research and technical training. Since its establishment in 2005, the department has been focusing on close cooperation with well-known enterprises and establishing comprehensive cooperative relations with famous domestic research institutions, universities and enterprises in academic exchanges, teacher training and joint research and development. It has set up a research team in the areas of cryptography, network security trusted computing, privacy protection, mobile network security, network attack and defense. The department has undertaken and completed a large number of research projects including the National 863 projects, the National Natural Science Foundation of China and military projects.
